The AI Data Center at the DUMAT campus is Poland's first zero-emission, next-generation data center, designed specifically to support artificial intelligence applications, high-performance computing (HPC), and Industry 4.0 industrial solutions.
With a planned capacity of 100 MW, the center will be fully powered by green energy from combined heat and power plants (RDF), photovoltaic farms, and LFP energy storage. Using 800 V DC Grid technology and liquid cooling, it will achieve the highest efficiency standards – PUE < 1.2.
Infrastructure and Technologies
• Computing power: GPU clusters (NVIDIA H100 / Grace Hopper) for AI, machine learning, and data analysis.
• Power supply: direct from 800 V DC Grid, minimal conversion losses.
• Cooling: hybrid – liquid + heat recovery to the municipal heating network.
• Security: Tier III/IV class, redundant power supply and cooling systems. • Digital supervision: a proprietary EMS/SCADA system with predictive energy management.
Goals and applications
The AI Data Center will become a digital support center for industry, universities, and technology startups.
It will enable the development of applications in the following areas:
• AI and Big Data (industrial process analysis, energy prediction, production automation),
• Digital Twin (digital twins of industrial lines and cities),
• Cybersecurity and defense of critical infrastructure,
• Training of large language models (LLMs) and image and sound processing.
The center will also become a database and computing power source for Polish universities, AI startups, and international partners from Taiwan and the EU.
Green Computing – the energy of the future
The DUMAT AI Data Center is fully integrated with the campus energy ecosystem:
Energy from the RDF and PV CHP plants is fed into a power storage system, which then feeds the 800V DC Grid, from which the center draws power to operate the HPC servers.
Recovered heat from server cooling heats the campus buildings and surrounding facilities.
This ensures a closed, clean, and economical energy cycle, and the entire center serves as a benchmark for Green Computing for the region and the European Union.
