Artificial Intelligence at the DUMAT Campus – Energy Driven by Intelligence
At the DUMAT Campus, artificial intelligence isn't an add-on – it's the brain of the entire ecosystem.
AI manages energy, controls production processes, analyzes data, and optimizes the operation of all installations: from the RDF CHP plant, through energy storage, to the semiconductor factory and AI Data Center.
This is the first project in Poland in which AI, energy, and industry create an integrated, self-learning system.
AI in Practice – From Data to Decisions
• Energy Management (AI Energy Management): Predictive balancing of energy production and consumption on campus.
• Production Process Optimization: Machine Learning in semiconductor and power module factories.
• Digital Twins (Digital Twins): Virtual representation of technological and energy processes.
• AI in defense and logistics: autonomous drone systems, sensor data analysis, and machine vision. • Cybersecurity: AI monitoring critical campus infrastructure in real time.
1 MW AI – Demonstration Infrastructure
DUMAT already has a 1 MW AI demonstration infrastructure, fully powered by green energy from an RDF CHP plant and an 800 V DC Grid.
This installation demonstrates the potential of integrating AI, energy, and industry within a single entity.
The center is equipped with:
• H100 / A100 / Grace Hopper GPU clusters,
• liquid cooling with heat recovery,
• its own energy management system (EMS + AI Prediction),
• 800 Gb/s fiber optic connectivity,
• SCADA/AI Cloud control and monitoring.
In subsequent stages, the project will be expanded to 100 MW of computing power, creating one of the largest green AI Data Centers in Central Europe.
AI for Industry, Science, and Local Government
DUMAT AI serves as a platform supporting:
• industry (Industry 4.0, automation, energy consumption prediction),
• universities and institutes (HPC computing, process modeling),
• AI and deeptech startups,
• local government (Smart City, digital energy management).
Collaboration with partners from Poland, Taiwan, and the EU enables the development of proprietary AI models and the training of European language and visual systems based on local infrastructure.
Green Intelligence
DUMAT's entire AI infrastructure is powered by renewable energy sources, and waste heat from the servers is fed back into the municipal heating network.
This allows the system to achieve the highest energy efficiency standards (PUE < 1.2) and exemplifies Green AI in practice.
Vision
The project's goal is to create an intelligent, zero-emission industrial and energy ecosystem where energy, data, and technology operate in unison. DUMAT Campus will become the Polish center for artificial intelligence for industry, supporting the development of research, innovation, and modern jobs in Silesia.
