Power Module Factory

The DUMAT Power Module Factory is a key element of the campus's energy transformation.
The facility produces modern SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride) power modules – components that enable more efficient energy management in 800V DC Grids, electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and industrial power systems.

They enable energy transmission and conversion with minimal losses, reducing power consumption by up to 30–40% compared to traditional silicon solutions.

A New Generation of Power Technology
The factory utilizes the latest High Power Density (HPD) semiconductor assembly and testing technologies, achieving exceptional power density and component durability.

Processes include:
• SiC/GaN module design and assembly,
• vacuum soldering and encapsulation,
• automated stress and thermal testing,
• quality control using AI vision systems.

The production line was designed as a smart factory, with full integration with the campus energy management system and the ability to operate in autonomous mode.

Power Module Applications
DUMAT modules are used in key areas of the energy transition:
• Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC Grid systems,
• Electromobility – EV drives, megawatt charging stations,
• Industrial energy – SiC inverters and converters,
• AI Data Center – HPC rack power and liquid cooling,
• Military and aerospace power systems, including UAVs and hybrid vehicles.

Thanks to cooperation with universities and partners in Taiwan, Poland is becoming a center of competence in advanced power electronics.

• Power range: 1–1200 A, voltage up to 1200 V DC
• Energy efficiency: +35% vs. Si modules
• Integration with OSAT DUMATSemT and the DUMAT Semiconductors semiconductor factory

Vision and Goal
The DUMAT Power Module Factory is a bridge between energy and technology.

Here, green energy from the RDF CHP plant is transformed into precisely controlled power for modern energy, industrial, and digital systems.

This project connects Silesia with the global supply chain of semiconductors and power technologies, building the foundation for a new low-carbon economy and smart energy infrastructure for Europe.
