A modern DUMAT Semiconductors facility is being built within the campus, specializing in the production of semiconductors and power modules made using SiC (silicon carbide) and GaN (gallium nitride) technologies.
These components are used in the energy, electromobility, aerospace, HPC, and data center systems sectors.
The facility also includes the OSAT microfacility – DUMATSemT (Assembly & Test) – which packages and tests chips for fabless companies and hardware startups in Europe.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with partners from Taiwan and Poland (Silesian University of Technology, KOMAG Institute, Sentec Taiwan) and aims to make the European semiconductor supply chain independent of Asian markets.
The introduction of SiC/GaN production in Poland paves the way for the use of energy-efficient DC power systems, high-power drives, and intelligent inverters that reduce energy losses by up to 30–40%.
